PURPOSE: A bus interface design apparatus and a bus interface design method are provided to supply a bus interface for satisfying a physical constraint condition when designing a bus interface. CONSTITUTION: A data reading unit(41) reads physical constraint conditions of chips and a bus interface design library. A parameter calculator(42) decides a bus width and a design purpose bus interface based on the physical constraint conditions. An execution unit(43) automatically generates a bus IP(Intellectual Property) core constituting a circuit composed according to the bus width and the design purpose bus interface. The bus interface design library is composed by registering a plurality of design purpose bus interfaces. The plurality of design purpose bus interfaces are for a bus for accessing of chips.
