AIR FILTER COMPRISING A STAPLE FIBER NON-WOVEN SUPPORT WITH HIGH AN AIR-PERMEABILITY AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An air filter including a staple fiber non-woven fabric support with high air-permeability and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve filtering efficiency and to extend a lifespan of the air filter. CONSTITUTION: An air filter(30) includes a non-woven fabric support(33), a non-woven fabric cover(31), melt blown non-woven fabric(32) interposed between the non-woven fabric support and the non-woven fabric cover. The combination of a first thermoplastic polymer and a second thermoplastic polymer is one or more mixture selected from a group consisting of (polypropylene, polyethylene), (polyester, polyethylene), (low melting point polyester, polyester) and etc. The weight of the non-woven fabric support is 15 ~ 130 gsm. The thickness of the non-woven fabric is 30 m ~ 1.0 mm. The second thermoplastic polymer has a lower melting point than that of the first thermoplastic polymer.
