PURPOSE: A cooling roller for a continuous annealing line is provided to secure smooth flow of cooling water by guiding the cooling water in a spiral form. CONSTITUTION: A cooling roller for a continuous annealing line comprises an inner cooling roller(120), an outer cooling roller(110), a plurality of branch pipes(160), a ring header(140), a water collecting ring(142), and an outlet pipe(180). The inner cooling roller comprises a left and a right rotating shaft in which an inlet(151) and an outlet(171) are formed respectively. The outer cooling roller is rotated with the inner cooling roller, and has a hollow to form a cooling path(A). The branch pipes branches out the cooling water flowing in the inlet in the radial direction. The ring header is formed along one end circumference of the outer cooling roller to evenly distribute the cooling water to the cooling path. The water collecting ring is formed on the other end of the outer cooling roller to collect the cooling water. The outlet pipe discharges the cooling water to the outlet of the right rotating shaft.
