PURPOSE: A power saving method for a power transmission device and the power saving type power transmission device are provided to minimize energy loss due to friction using a pulley and a timing belt.;CONSTITUTION: An inverter is installed in a motor of a power transmission device(s100). The minimum revolutions per hour are detected within a normal operation range of the operation machine by controlling the frequency of the input voltage about the minimum revolutions per hour of a driven shaft(s200). A pulley diameter ratio is calculated as the ratio of the minimum revolutions per hours of the driven shaft and the driving shaft(s300). An inverter, the driving pulley, and the driven pulley are removed from the power transmission device(s400). The power saving type driving pulley and the driven pulley are manufactured according to the calculated pulley diameter ratio(s500). The power saving type driving pulley and the driving pulley are combined in the driving shaft and the driven shaft and are connected by a timing belt(s600).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
