An environmental radiation monitoring system is provided to compare and analyze dose rate of artificial radioisotope as well as that of natural radioisotope. An environmental radiation monitoring system comprises a scintillator detector(11), a photomultiplier tube(12), a high voltage device(13), an amplifier(14), a multi-channel analyzer(15), and a monitor(16). The scintillator detector is configured to measure energy of gamma rays, and emits beams proportional to the measured energy of the gamma rays. The photomultiplier tube is physically connected to the scintillator detector to convert the beam emitted by the scintillator detector into an electric signal. The high voltage is electrically connected to the scintillator detector to feed high voltage to the scintillator detector. The amplifier is electrically connected to the photomultiplier tube to rectify and amplify the electric signal come from the scintillator detector. The multi-channel analyzer is electrically connected to the amplifier to record and compare information on radiation projected into the scintillator detector so that the energy of the radiation corresponds to the size of the electric signal received by the amplifier. The monitor is electrically connected to the multi-channel analyzer to display data received from the multi-channel analyzer.
