Jeju galcheon Ecklonia cava dyeing method using a dye for color fastness improvement

A process for manufacturing ecklonia cava dyes and a dyeing method thereof are provided to improve dyeing fastness of Jeju brown cloth and to prepare an environment-friendly Ecklonia cava dye which maintains permeability of brown cloth without the use of chemical mordants. A process for manufacturing ecklonia cava dyes and a dyeing method thereof comprises the steps of: removing calyx and seeds of green persimmon in which a tannin component is abundant, and pulverizing the green persimmon and water in a weight ratio of 5:1; collecting and drying Ecklonia cava and mixing the Ecklonia cava and water in a ratio of 350 g : 10 L; boiling the mixture in an iron pot in which the nature mordant is generated at 80 ‹C for 30 minutes to prepare ecklonia cava dyes; dyeing a brown cloth by using the ecklonia cava dyes at 60 ‹C for 20 minutes; and drying the cloth by spraying water 3 times a day with exposing the dyed fiber in sunlight.
