PURPOSE: A paper sheet feeder is provided to keep the probability of simultaneous pick-up low by detecting abnormally transferred sheets and returning them to the rejection unit.;CONSTITUTION: Each postal matter is corrected by a calibration unit(2) to the correct posture. A detection unit(3) determines simultaneous pick-up of more than two postal matters by checking whether the gap between the adjacent postal matters is small and detecting the length and thickness of each postal matter. An irregular postal matter is returned to a reject unit(5) after a classification unit(4). A reading unit(6) reads out information like address of each postal matter. The postal matter passing through the reading unit is classified to corresponding accumulating unit(7) after the classification unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
