PURPOSE: A method for preparing transparent polycrystalline aluminum oxynitride is provided to reduce manufacturing costs for producing the polycrystalline aluminum oxynitride, and to prevent degradation of transparency of the polycrystalline aluminum oxynitride.;CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing transparent polycrystalline aluminum oxynitride includes a step for pre-sintering raw material powder in which a sintering additive is added at a temperature of 1550°C ~ 1750°C and a step for re-sintering the powder to make higher relative density in 1900°C or greater. A pre-sintering process is performed in a nitrogen gas atmosphere for 10 hours, and a re-sintering process is performed in the nitrogen gas atmosphere in 2000°C for 5 hours.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
