PURPOSE: A method for preparing pyrazine derivative is provided to monitor kidney function and enable rapid renal clearance.;CONSTITUTION: A pyrazine derivative compound which is useful in monitoring kidney function is denoted by chemical formula I or II. A composition contains the pyrazine derivative compound and pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. The pyrazine derivative compound is obtained by reacting aminopyrazine compound and carbonyl compound under the presence of a reductant. The aminopyrazine compound is diaminopyrazine of chemical formula IV or V. The carbonyl compound is denoted by chemical formula III. The reductant is sodium triacetoxyborohydride.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
