PURPOSE: A method for providing contents based on BD-J(Blue-ray Disc-Java) specification and a computer-readable medium recorded with program for embodying the same are provided to minimize the system setting operation due to additional contents when offering contents using BD-J.;CONSTITUTION: A contents request from a BD-J support contents player is received(S110). Specification information about main contents and specification information about additional contents are extracted, where the main contents and the additional contents are contents being offered to the BD-J support contents player(S130). Playback specification information is created based on the specification information about the main and additional contents(S150).
