PURPOSE: A method for transceiving streaming data in a communication system with a server and a mobile communication terminal and the communication system therefor are provided to determine a bit rate in consideration of a communication environment between a server and a mobile communication terminal, thereby efficiently transceiving streaming data.;CONSTITUTION: A server(30) converts multimedia data into streaming data using the prestored first bit rate. A mobile communication terminal(50) collects streaming parameters for determining the second bit rate if the streaming data is received.
