PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a control method of the same are provided to prevent the malfunction in the gradation transient state by increasing the drive power voltage in a state of modifying a gradation from the full-black gradation to the full-white gradation.;CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(100) includes a plurality of gate lines, and a plurality of data lines and pixels. A gate driver(110) turns on thin film transistors which are connected to the gate lines by successively applying the gate-on voltage to the gate lines. A data driver(120) drives the data lines using the gradation voltage corresponding to pixel data received from a timing controller(150). A memory(160) has the enough size for storing pixel data of at least one frame. The timing controller outputs the control signals for controlling the data driver, the signals for controlling the pixel data signal and the gate driver, and the overshoot signal. A driving voltage generating circuit(130) generates the operating voltage in response to the overshoot signal. A gradation voltage generation circuit(140) adjusts a gap between a plurality of gradation voltages in response to the overshoot signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
