PURPOSE: An apparatus for transmitting a signal using unique antenna scheme in a wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to improve the quality of download signal using extra antenna.;CONSTITUTION: An antenna correlation estimator(160) estimates an antenna correlation information based on 'the signal received to the inverse channel. A group separator divides a plurality of antennae between antenna based on the correlation information into antenna groups corresponding to the transmitting signal number and provides the antenna group information. A gain controller(130) controls the gain of the group antennas included in the antenna group based on the antenna group information.
