PURPOSE: A channel signal transmitting/receiving method for allocating a variable band and a receiving terminal thereof are provided to allocate a varied band to each broadcast signal and tune a corresponding broadcast signal by checking a variably allocated band for each broadcast signal through channel programming information, thereby reducing waste of the entire frequency band.;CONSTITUTION: A channel signal transmitting/receiving method comprises the following steps. Transmitting band information and program information of a broadcast signal corresponding to a variably allocated frequency band are generated(201). Channel programming information is generated(202). The generated channel programming information is broadcast to the selected band(203).
