PURPOSE: A method and a system for designing an impeller for a centrifugal pump and a mixed flow pump are provided to easily create a three dimensional shape of an impeller.;CONSTITUTION: A method for designing an impeller for a centrifugal pump and a mixed flow pump is as follows: A design variable of a meridian plane is set for controlling a meridian plane shape of the impeller, and is input(S11). A design variable of blades development is set for controlling the blades development and the calculated meridian plate shape data, and is input(S22). A blades angle is calculated(S23), and is output(S24).
