PURPOSE: A method for preparing nano-sized anatase phase TIO2 powder is provided to decompose carbon dioxide in a short time using high temperature and high activity thermal plasma.;CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing nano-sized anatase phase TIO2 powder using thermal plasma comprises the steps of: (i) injecting carbon dioxide and vaporized TiSl4 as reaction gas into a reaction tube(2) of a thermal plasma jet device; (ii) decomposing the injected carbon dioxide with the thermal plasma jet and reacting with carbon tetrachloride carried by the carrier gas; and (iii) cooling the titanium dioxide to produce the nano-sized anatase phase TIO2 powder.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
