PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing ferrous sulfate monohydrate is provided to economically obtain expensive ferrous sulfate monohydrate from cheap ferrous sulfate heptahydrate and to prevent the discoloration of the ferrous sulfate monohydrate.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing ferrous sulfate monohydrate comprises the following steps: adding stannous chloride to the solution after dissolving ferrous sulfate heptahydrate in water; recrystallizing the solution and extracting a crystal by heating the solution at 70~80°C; dissolving the ferrous sulfate heptahydrate and the stannous chloride in the water at the same time; and purifying the ferrous sulfate monohydrate using methanol or ethanol.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
