PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transcoding wired multimedia content into wireless multimedia content, particularly for reducing the load of a content conversion server are provided to reduce the duplicated conversion of contents when converting multimedia contents into wireless multimedia contents.;CONSTITUTION: A control unit(204) receives a request for converting first multimedia contents selected from a wireless terminal into second multimedia contents over the certain time, and stores the second multimedia contents converted in the content conversion unit(206) at a memory. The control unit receives the conversion request for the first multimedia contents after storing the second multimedia contents.
