PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for estimating channel capacity between terminals are provided to estimate the capacity of a channel using a data packet without using an additional packet for estimating the capacity of a channel.;CONSTITUTION: A channel capacity average configuration unit(203) obtains the average value of channel capacities by the size of a data packet of data packets of different sizes. A linear model configuration unit(213) obtains a linear model of the channel capacity of a data packet using the average of the channel capacities. A channel capacity estimating unit(215) estimates the channel capacity of a data packet using the linear model. The linear model configuration unit generates the linear model of the channel capacity according to the size of the data packet using the average value and the real channel capacity of the data packets.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
