PURPOSE: A satellite communication simulator and a method of calculating signal attenuation caused by rainfall are provided to confirm the location for an optimal satellite communication environment by detecting the attenuation of a satellite signal through the information about the rainfall.;CONSTITUTION: A signal attenuation operation unit calculates the weather data of an external DB matching unit(10) and the rainfall attenuation amount through the information of a user matching unit(50). A data storage unit(30) stores the weather data, the information of the user matching unit, and the rainfall attenuation amount.
