PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for securing a data packet in a wireless sensor network are provided to improve the data security by setting up the security function of a data packet according to the feature information of various sensor nodes.;CONSTITUTION: Sensor nodes has node feature information, and a memory unit(130) stores settable security state information according to node feature information lists. If a data packet generation request exists, a controller(100) judges the node feature information thereof. The control unit detects the security state information corresponding to the node feature information from the memory unit, and generates the data packet.
