SEPARATION AND RECYCLING METHOD OF GOLD AND SILVER FROM GOLD AND SILVER ALLOY

PURPOSE: A method for separating and collecting gold and silver from gold and silver alloy is provided to reduce waste water treatment cost without installing a gas scrubber for processing hydrochloric acid gas. CONSTITUTION: A method for separating and collecting gold and silver from gold and silver alloy comprises following steps. An anode chamber(6) of an electrolytic cell(4) is filled with hydrochloric acid electrolyte and a cathode chamber(5) is filled with potassium chloride electrolyte. Direct current voltage is applied while the temperature of the electrolyte is kept at preset temperature. Gold and silver alloy which is anode is melted, gold is extracted into HAuCl4 solution, silver is extracted into AgCl, and the gold and the silver are deposited on the bottom of the anode chamber. Ascorbic acid aqueous solution which is a reducing agent is added to HAuCl4 solution and AgCl. Gold and silver are reduced and extracted.
