PURPOSE: A method and a device for compensating a color temperature of an image display device are provided to compensate the color temperature at each mode using an inner pattern with regard to the displayed image.;CONSTITUTION: A color temperature correction unit(150) measures an RGB value of an image according to an output mode and compares the measured RGB with the reference value. The color temperature correction unit corrects the error. A controller(105) senses the external device inputted from an external interface unit.
