METHOD FOR LEACHING MAGNESIUM AND PREPARING GLASS WATER USING SULFURIC ACID FROM NICKEL-SLAG

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a liquid glass is provided to extract magnesium from slag which is a stone extracted with iron from iron ore, and to manufacture a liquid glass from residue silica after extraction. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a liquid glass after leaching magnesium from nickel slag using sulfuric acid comprises the following steps: producing MgSO_4 and silica by reacting nickel slag(MgSiO_3) containing magnesium and sulfuric acid; producing MgCO_3 by reacting CO_2 and MgSO_4; and manufacturing a liquid glass by reacting the silica with NaOH. The manufacturing step of the MgSO_4 is performed under the extraction temperature of 50~90 deg C, the extraction time of 10~60 minutes, the ore solution concentration of 50~250 gram per liter, and the stirring velocity of 300~4000 revolutions per minute.
