LOSSLESS DATA COMPRESSION METHOD USING DATA HIDING

摘要

PURPOSE: A lossless data compression method using data hiding is provided to increase compression efficiency by re-compressing data into an original data. CONSTITUTION: The compressed original data is process by a Huffman tree(S310). In case of the Huffman tree of the type II or the type IV, data is hidden. In case of the Huffman tree of the type I or the type III, a new Huffman tree is created(S320). The modified state to the type I or the type III of the Huffman tree is determined(S325). In case that the modified state to the type I Huffman tree, the data is hidden into the original data In data hiding process, the generating process and additional information compression process of the new Huffman tree at the same time is performed(S330). The compressed output data and compressed additional information are outputted(S340).
