PURPOSE: An arc temperature measuring apparatus at a high tension circuit breaker and a method thereof are provided to design an optimized high tension circuit breaker by calculating the temperature of the arc which is generated while secluding a failure current.;CONSTITUTION: A beam concentrator(110) condenses the light of the arc created in a malfunction current interception. A beam splitter(120) changes the arc light condensed with the light-collecting portion into the spectrum. A detector(130) changes spectrum into the electric signal.
