SECURITY METHODOLOGY TO PREVENT A USER FROM COMPROMISING THROUGHPUT IN A HIGHLY THREADED NETWORK ON A CHIP PROCESSOR, PARTICULARLY FOR PREVENTING THE ACCESS TO A NON-PERMITTED RESOURCE FROM AN NOC
PURPOSE: A security methodology to prevent a user from compromising throughput in a highly threaded network on a chip processor is provided to protect throughput from an unreliable work unit message of a threaded NOC(Network On Chip).;CONSTITUTION: A reception logic(120) receives a work unit message addressed to a first node of an NOC. While the first node is executed in a less privileged non-secure mode, the reception logic unit receives a secure message that operates in a secure mode of the NOC. The secure mode prevents the access to the second node of the first node, and the first node executes the work unit message during the lower privileged non-secure mode.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
