PURPOSE: A navigation apparatus for a vehicle using positioner and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to check the location on a real time basis without a additional network.;CONSTITUTION: A navigation apparatus for a vehicle using positioner comprises a positioner(110) and a navigator(120). The positioner comprises a GPS reception department(111), an input unit(112), a communications unit(113), a storage(114) and a controller(115). The GPS reception department receives a message GPS signal acquisition side information data from a GPS satellite and transmits to the controller. The communications unit is driven with the controller. The storage stores the program and necessary data in the overall operation of the positioner.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
