PURPOSE: A magnetic resonance imaging device using a cylindrical offset exciting area, and a method thereof, are provided to produce a target image by using a series of 3-D video data sets.;CONSTITUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging device(10) comprises an image coil(12), a receiver coil(14), and a computer(16). The computer produces a first steady-state free precession excitations slab related to a first position in relation to a target of a patient during a first period of repetition through the image coil. The computer produces a second steady-state free precession excitations slab related to a second position which is different from the first position in relation to the target during the second period of repetition through the image coil. The computer forms a first 3-D data set related to the first excitations slab and a second 3-D image data set related to the second excitations slab from the data transmitted by the receiver coils.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
