COSMETIC ABIRRITANT CONTAINING MOMORDICA CHARANTIA L. FRUIT EXTRACT HAVING LOW IRRITATIVE EFFECT

PURPOSE: A cosmetic abirritant containing Momordica charantia L. fruit extract is provided to ensure skin sedation and relieve irritation such as inflammation, edema, and erythema.;CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic abirritant contains 0.01-20.0 %(w/v) of Momordica charantia L. fruit extract. The Momordica charantia L. fruit extract is obtained by adding 5-20 times of volume of dried Momordica charantia L. fruit and heating at 50-100°C for 3-20 hours, or by immersing dried Momordica charantia L. fruit in solvent at 5-37°C for 1-15 days. The cosmetic abirritant contains ethanol fraction by sequentially fractioning the Momordica charantia L. fruit extract with ethanol and water. The cosmetic abirritant is used in the form of lotion, skin, massage cream, nutrition essence, UV protective lotion, UV protective cream, baby body cleanser, shampoo, or soap.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
