PURPOSE: A method for improving performance of a separation membrane through thermal cross-linking reaction is provided to reduce degradation of hydrophilicity while increasing water penetration by remarkably improving hydrophilicity of a hydrophobic polymer. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving performance of a separation membrane through thermal cross-linking reaction includes a step for coating the surface of a hydrophobic polymer by adding salt having ionic Strength 0.01~1.0 as a coating solution which is a mixture of PVA and hydrophilic ionic polymers for 30 seconds ~ 120 minutes and a step for cross-linking the coated hydrophilic polymers in an oven of 100~200C for 30 seconds ~ 600 seconds. The hydrophobic polymer is PVDF, PSf, PES, PEI, PI, PE, PP, or PAmide.
