PURPOSE: A wideband voltage control oscillator and a method for generating a wideband oscillation frequency are provided to operate in a wide frequency band by selecting two frequency band modes through a weight current cell and generate 64 oscillation frequencies with various levels through a variable frequency tank and a capacitor tank.;CONSTITUTION: A weight current cell(260) selects a plurality of frequency band modes. A capacitor bank(230) controls the oscillation frequency with a plurality of levels in the frequency band mode selected by the weight current cell. A variable frequency tank control the oscillation frequency controlled by the capacitor bank with the plurality of levels again.
