PURPOSE: A method for recognizing motion based on a motion sensor and a mobile terminal using the same are provided to learn unique pattern of a user operation in advance and applying learned result to operation recognition process, thereby improving the operation recognition rate.;CONSTITUTION: An operation sensor unit(210) detects a user operation about a mobile terminal. A function execution unit(270) performs a function related to an application. A pattern analyzing uni(282) extracts parameter value sets through raw data of operation sensor detector(220).
