PURPOSE: A continuously variable automatic transmission is provided to reduce the energy consumption by acquiring an ideal input to output angular velocity ratio.;CONSTITUTION: A rotation driving member(1) is rotatably installed in a frame. A rotation driven member(2) is rotatably installed about the rotation driving member. The rotation driven member is coaxially installed about the rotation driving member. A plurality of power transmission assemblies(4) are combined with the friction between the rotation driving member and the rotation driven member. The power transmission assemblies transfer the torque of the rotation driving member to the rotation driven member. The power transmission assemblies are installed in a radial direction. A supporting member supports the power transmission assemblies arranged in a radial direction. The supporting member is coaxially installed with the rotation driving member. The supporting member is installed about the frame not to be rotatable. A transmission unit controls the radius direction position of the power transmission assemblies.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
