PURPOSE: A displacement measuring device and method for an impact test of a vehicle are provided to ensure the reliability of measurement result in a low-speed impact test.;CONSTITUTION: A displacement measuring device for an impact test of a vehicle comprises a first displacement sensor(11), a second displacement sensor(13), a controller(15), and a display unit(17). The first displacement sensor is installed on a front side of a carriage(1) with "0" point to a barrier(7) and detects the displacement of the carriage at the time when the carriage collides against the barrier. The second displacement sensor is installed on a front side of the carriage with "0" point to the back side of a bumper(5) and detects the displacement of the bumper beam at the time when the carriage collides with the barrier. The controller outputs the displacements of the carriage and the bumper beam and the permanent deformation amount of the bumper beam. The display unit displays information about the displacements of the carriage and the bumper beam inputted from the controller.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
