PURPOSE: An optical line termination apparatus and method for control of an abnormal optical network unit in a TDM PON are provided to prevent the error caused by operation of subscriber terminals that transmit an uplink signal normally by an abnormal subscriber terminal.;CONSTITUTION: An optical transceiver(110) transmits and receives a down or up signal to and from plural optical network units. If an abnormal signal pattern is received from at least one subscriber terminal among plural subscriber terminals, a remote controller(120) requests the detection of the subscriber terminal that transmits the abnormal signal pattern. In order to interrupt the up signal transmission of the detected subscriber terminal, the remote controller controls a remote node connected to the plural subscriber terminals.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
