PURPOSE: A location information providing device using a gateway location register and a method thereof are provided to offer a location information providing service in a roaming service configuration including a multiplexed GLR.;CONSTITUTION: A location information providing request receiver(410) receives the first location information providing request from a home cellular system of a mobile terminal. An exchange identifier request originator(420) transmits the second location information providing request to a GLR(Gateway Location Register). An exchange identifier receiver(430) receives an identifier of MSC(Mobile Switching Center) or SGSN(Serving GPRS Support Node) from the GLR.
