PURPOSE: A method and a device for executing function of a mobile terminal are provided to display function icons in indicator area, thereby rapidly access about functions of high use frequency.;CONSTITUTION: A device displays a state icon in display area of a touch screen of a touch screen unit(S501). If the touch screen unit detects a touch of an indicator area, the device displays function icons in an indicator area(S502,S503). If on touch input of the displayed function icons is selected, an application execution unit performs relevant function(S504).
