PURPOSE: An anti-inflammation composition containing Koelreuteria paniculata flower extract or fraction is provided to susppress generation or secretion of cytokine and chemokine and to prevent or treat various inflammations. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating edema or inflammation contains Koelreuteria paniculata flower extract or fraction thereof an active ingredient. The Koelreuteria paniculata flower extract is obtained using water, low alcohol of C1-C4 or mixture thereof. A method for manufacturing the Koelreuteria paniculata flower extract comprises: a step of extracting dried Koelreuteria paniculata flower with an extraction solution to obtain extract; a step of filtering the extract; and a step of decompressing the extract and drying.
