PURPOSE: An oxygen sensor and a thermal injury prevention device of the oxygen sensor are provided to normally operate an oxygen sensor by enabling the oxygen sensor to be affected by a high temperature to a minimum even if the engine is over-heated, and to prolong lifespan by preventing the damage due to degradation.;CONSTITUTION: A thermal injury prevention device(100) of the oxygen sensor comprises a sensor assembly(120), a cylindrical sidewall(110), and an expanded incline part(130). A penetration hole and a separating circular plate are arranged at the sensor assembly. The penetration hole is penetrated to the oxygen sensor(10) in the longitudinal direction. The separating circular plate has a ring shape which is extended from the penetration hole to the radius direction. The cylindrical sidewall is connected to the circumference of the sensor assembly. The cylindrical sidewall is separated from the oxygen sensor coupled to the sensor assembly. The cylindrical sidewall has a cylindrical inner part which is extended along the longitudinal direction of the oxygen sensor.
