PURPOSE: A method for social tagging by using an object property field for ontology, and an apparatus thereof are provided to use a data type property field about an object of MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) media value chain ontology, thereby adding a user participation information to the ontology for intellectual property right.;CONSTITUTION: A target object selector(20) selects the object from an ontology database(10). A property field selector(30) selects an attribute field for storing information in a class of the ontology data base. A user participation information input unit(40) inputs user participation information according to the selected attribute field. When instance is created by defining the class as the attribute field, the attribute field selection unit selects value of the attribute field and stores in the ontology data base.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
