THE BEAD COMPOSITION WHICH CONTAINS CHITOSAN AND SODIUM HYDROGEN SULFATE FOR WATER TREATMENT AND A METHOD OF PREPARING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of bead for water treatment is provided to reinforce a strength of chitosan beads, and to maximize adsorption performance through the chemical surface modification. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of bead for water treatment comprises the folloiwng steps: melting chitosan powder at an acetate solution; manufacturing the chitosan bead by dropping the bead in the chitosan solution in a gelation solution of NaOH and an organic solvent; and obtaining the chitosan bead by adding the chitosan bead in a sodium hydrogensulfate aqueous solution. A crosslinking agent is epichlorohydrin, ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, glutaraldehyde, benzoquinone, phosphorus oxychloride, malic anhydride or isocyanate.
