METHOD FOR MOVING PICTURE GEO-TAGGING USING AN ELECTRONIC MAP AND A SYSTEM THEREOF, PARTICULARLY PROVIDING VARIOUS LBS SERVICES

PURPOSE: A method for moving picture geo-tagging using an electronic map and a system thereof are provided to store the location information after tagging of plural kinds of location information on stop screen of video contents through the digital map, thereby providing LBS(Location Based Service) service by application of the location information.;CONSTITUTION: An electronic map providing server(11) provides a digital map to IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) set-top box(14). A location information database(12) stores registrant identifier, registration data and time, time offset information of corresponding still screen in video contents, spot identifier and still screen identifier. An IPTV platform(13) provides interactive IPTV service. The IPTV set-top box performs tagging of plural kinds of location information on specific still screen of the video contents by the digital map.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
