PURPOSE: A multimedia content relay apparatus and a control method thereof, a multimedia content relay system comprising the multimedia contents relay apparatus are provided to display multimedia contents received through the multimedia contents relay device connected to external display device on a larger external display thereby watching the multimedia contents on a large screen.;CONSTITUTION: A storage controller(330) stores received multimedia contents in a storage unit(320). The multimedia contents is received from a mobile communication terminal through a wireless interface unit(310). A contents ID extractor(340) extracts contents ID from contents output control signal of the mobile communication terminal. A contents converter(360) senses a communication port connected to an external display unit.
