PURPOSE: A method for removing mercury in exhaust gas is provided to effectively remove mercury in exhaust gas without addition of a separated facility such as a wet-scrubber, and to prevent malfunctions such as clogging of a pipe.;CONSTITUTION: A method for removing mercury in exhaust gas includes the following steps: forming an elemental hydrargyrum oxidizer among the exhaust gas by injecting a NaClO aqueous solution into the exhaust gas containing mercury; oxidizing the mercury into mercury oxide by a formed oxidizer; and removing the mercury oxide in the exhaust gas.
