PURPOSE: A polymer film for the fingerprint detection or the identification, and a fingerprint detection method using thereof are provided to apply the polymer film for a system detecting fingerprints by reacting to triglyceride and fatty acid.;CONSTITUTION: A polymer film for the fingerprint detection or the identification has the fractional free volume of a base film over 0.15. The base film includes poly[1-phenyl-2-[P-(trimethyl silyl) phenyl]acetylene] marked with chemical formula 1. A fingerprint detection method using the polymer film comprises a step of detecting the trace of a fingerprint from a material by transferring the polymer film to the base film.
