PURPOSE: A packet transfer device in an ad hoc network and a method thereof are provided to compulsively restrict transmission of other nodes communicating through relay nodes on a transfer route in transferring emergency information, thereby obtaining available bandwidth.;CONSTITUTION: A buffer unit(170) comprises an emergency buffer(171) and a common buffer(173). A packet dividing unit(120) divides a receiving packet into an emergency packet and a common packet. A bandwidth forcing unit(130) transmits a common packet transfer stoppage signal during transmission of packets of the emergency buffer. Neighbor nodes stop transmission of the common packet by the common packet transfer stoppage signal. A scheduling unit(140) transmits the packets of the emergency buffer to packets of the common buffer first.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
