PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for verifying nuclide in a single-nuclide based nuclear material, and a method and an apparatus for determining nuclide composition ratio in several-nuclides based nuclear material are provided to improve precision of the verification by eliminating the accumulating factors of errors. CONSTITUTION: A neutron detector(110) detects neutrons which are emitted from a nuclear material sample in a nuclear fission process. A signal converter(120) is electrically connected with the neutron detector. The neutron detector collects the number of grouped neutrons, which are continuously detected in a pre-set time interval, based on a grouped signal. A calculator(130) is electrically connected with the signal converter and coverts the collected value based on the grouped signal in order to calculate the increased number of the neutrons. A verifying unit(135) is electrically connected with the calculator and verifies the nuclide of the sample by comparing the distribution of the increased number with a reference distribution.
