PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling uplink power in an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) TDD(Time Division Duplex) system are provided to properly select α and β when a Doppler frequency size for 2T2R, SDF, or MIMO systems is unknown.;CONSTITUTION: RSSIavg and CINRavg are calculated with equation 1. α and β are selected according to a channel environment so that uplink power is controlled. Open loop power is controlled based on RSSIavg. Closed Loop power is controlled based on CINRavg. If link symmetry between a downlink and an uplink is made and a channel change is slow, α uses a larger value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
