PURPOSE: A device and a method for transmitting a relay-synchronization signal in an LTE-A system based on orthogonal frequency division with a multi hop relay are provided to prevent complexity for detecting an R-SS(Relay-Synchronization Signal) from drastically increasing.;CONSTITUTION: An SS generating unit(610) generates an SS. The SS comprises an SSS(Secondary Synchronization Signal) and a PSS(Primary Synchronization Signal) synchronized with a terminal. An R-SS generating unit(620) generates an R-PSS(Relay-Primary Synchronization Signal) using a PSS. An R-PSS has the same PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) property as the PSS.
